The principle of operation: the live fence tape creates an insurmountable barrier for all kinds of slugs in the home garden. The fence tape has two parallel running, electrically conductive contact strips. If the slug establishes a connection between the two contact tapes as it attempts to cross the fence tape, a small current flows for a short time. Due to the low fence voltage of 9 volts (block battery), the slugs do not experience any damage, but only feel an unpleasant tingling sensation and are immediately induced to turn around. The extension of the fence tape is easily possible with the help of an optional 10 m fence tape or 20 m fence tape, as well as the fence tape connectors. Connecting the fence tapes to the power device does not require any prior knowledge. With the help of the contact clip, which is connected to the power device, the fence tape can be connected and supplied with power. Two control LEDs allow safe monitoring of the battery status and power supply. By means of bed connectors, several beds can also be operated with a single power unit. Thus, the fence can be extended to a maximum total length of 30 m.
