Sodium bicarbonate is a very effective buffer for indigestion, lack of appetite and unwillingness to drink. The use of buffers prevents hyperacidity. Acidosis is often the reason why calves are weak and dull and do not feel like drinking, electrolyte losses are effectively replenished. This stabilizes the water balance during e.g. transport stress and heat, stress-free and safe input. The input can also be done without applicator. Simply place the bolus lengthwise on the base of the tongue with the hand. The calf swallows the bolus without any problems, introducer is not included. Feeding recommendation: Insert a bolus immediately according to instructions at the first sign of indigestion. Thereafter, enter a bolus after each feed meal for 2 - 3 days, mineral feed (for calves) for additional supply of buffers and electrolytes.
